About The Role

We are looking for a Parts Subject Matter Expert with elite parts desk, logistics, and supervisory skills to serve as the functional backbone of our night-shift operations. This is an elite, hands-on position for a disciplined operator who provides the technical and procedural drive required to ensure our high-volume production line never starves for parts.

You will be responsible for supporting production initiatives while simultaneously maintaining and perfecting how we work. You are a strategic partner for the front-of-the-line production staff, learning all functions of the organization, from data pipelines to working the parts order desk—to understand and close operational gaps. As the night-shift supervisor, you don’t just manage people; you manage performance and ensure every sourcing decision follows our established protocols.

Your success in this role is measured by three primary metrics:

Order Accuracy: Ensuring the correct parts are identified and procured the first time to eliminate production delays.

Return Rate: Minimizing returns through technical expertise, compatibility verification, and procedural rigor.

Budget vs. Actual: Managing procurement costs and vendor selection to ensure night-shift operations stay within financial targets.

What You’ll Do

1. Procedural Command & Performance Supervision

Enforce the Process: Supervise a team of Aftermarket Parts Specialists, ensuring 100% adherence to established workflows and sourcing protocols.

Operational Discipline: Set daily priorities and manage the night-shift workflow. You are responsible for ensuring that the "night-shift engine" runs with total predictability and precision.

Cross-Functional Support: Jump onto the inspection line or the parts desk as needed to reduce bottlenecks and maintain flow. You are a "plug-and-play" operator who supports wherever the pressure is highest.

2. Sourcing & Technical Mastery

SME Oversight: Act as the final escalation point for complex sourcing challenges. Your deep technical knowledge ensures that the team identifies the correct parts and compatibility requirements without deviating from quality standards.

Strategic Procurement: Oversee the quoting and ordering of aftermarket and used parts, balancing cost and speed within the framework of our approved vendor architecture.

Accuracy Guard: Conduct regular audits of ordering activities to maintain high Order Accuracy and low Return Rates.

3. Logistics & "The Backbone"

SLA Integrity: Proactively manage backorders and substitutions. You ensure parts flow supports our high-volume reconditioning timelines by following the logistics blueprint.

Gap Identification: Work the parts order desk and audit data pipelines to find where processes are being bypassed or where data integrity is failing.

Process Maintenance: When you find an inefficiency, you update SOPs and G-Sheets/Excel tools to ensure the fix is standardized and permanent.

What You’ll Need

The Background: 7+ years of automotive parts experience with proven supervisory or mentorship exposure. You thrive in high-volume environments built on repeatability and structure.

Process Discipline: You have a high attention to detail and a strong preference for following established procedures. You believe that the best way to manage performance is through a perfected process.

Tech-Savvy: You are a "Power User" in Excel/G-Sheets. You use data to track KPI compliance and ensure the team is meeting its procedural benchmarks.

Strategic Thinking: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Business degree. You understand the "Business of Parts" (cost control, budget management, and SLAs).

Automotive SME: Deep understanding of vehicle components and the aftermarket ecosystem. You are a parts desk veteran who can troubleshoot compatibility issues that would stop a standard supervisor.

Requirements

Procedural Excellence: A "get-it-right-the-first-time" attitude with zero tolerance for skipped steps.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; able to provide clear, structured handovers to the morning management team.

Credentials: Valid Ontario G2 Driver’s License (minimum) with a Clean Driver’s Abstract.

Legal: Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Who This Is NOT For

• Anyone who prefers "winging it" or "creative shortcuts" over following a documented process.

• Anyone who views SOPs as "suggestions" rather than mandatory requirements.

• Anyone who wants to supervise from a distance rather than managing the physical flow of parts and performance on the floor.

Salary Range: $90k-$120K
