We're looking for a passionate AI Engineer Intern to play a key role in shaping the future of banking products and services through cutting-edge technologies.

What will you contribute?

As an AI Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn at the intersection of AI research, experimentation, and product development. Rather than being expected to operate as a fully independent engineer, you will work alongside experienced mentors and cross-functional teams to explore emerging technologies, contribute to early-stage prototypes, and help transform ideas into meaningful product capabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious about the future of AI, excited to deepen their understanding of the industry, and eager to create real value through hands-on research and development.

• Collaborate with the AI Engineering team to explore, research, and contribute to Proofs of Concept (PoCs) inspired by the Agentic paradigm, helping translate promising ideas into early-stage product experiments.

• Support the design and development of AI agent prototypes and evaluation environments, learning how large language models can be extended with memory, tool use, execution workflows, and reasoning capabilities to solve real-world problems.

• Contribute to the exploration of modern AI interoperability approaches, including protocols such as Agent-to-Agent (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP), to better understand how intelligent systems can connect, collaborate, and interact with tools and external systems.

• Assist in researching and experimenting with hybrid AI approaches, combining machine learning, symbolic reasoning, knowledge representation, and domain context to improve the quality, trustworthiness, and explainability of AI solutions.

• Work closely with cross-functional partners (including engineers, product teams, and data practitioners) to understand how AI ideas move through the product development lifecycle, from problem discovery and experimentation to implementation and iteration.

• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and practical applications, identifying opportunities to enhance product experiences, improve internal workflows, and support the evolution of intelligent banking solutions.

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

Must-have:

• Pursuing or recently completed/graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• Curious, open to feedback, and eager to learn complex domains (payments, accounts, risk).

• Disciplined and detail-oriented, keeping the bigger-picture system in mind.

• Clear communicator; collaborative and respectful teammate. Have good English communication skills.

• Passionate about AI and emerging technologies (RAG, GraphRAG, MCP, A2A, …), and fundamental knowledge of programming, software design, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Language Models (LM), and Large Language Models (LLM), and eager to apply knowledge in real-world visual-linguistic and/or agentic applications.

• Experienced with product development and engineering, whether through coursework, personal projects, or internships.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and/or Langchain / Langgraph.

• A creative problem-solver, driven to find innovative solutions through AI.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
