Role Description Quantum ESI is seeking a motivated Air Quality and Climate Change Consultant to join our team as a Staff Engineer. This is a remote position. This position is ideal for candidates with relevant experience who are looking to grow their technical and consulting skills in air quality, greenhouse gas (GHG), sustainability, and environmental compliance programs.

The selected candidate will support a variety of technical and regulatory projects while working closely with senior consultants and project managers in a collaborative and fast-paced consulting environment.

Role Description

• Assist with preparation of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG inventories

• Support air emissions inventories for NOx, SOx, PM, VOCs, and GHG emissions

• Assist with preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory documentation

• Compile, review, and manage environmental data using Excel or other advanced analytical tools

• Support environmental compliance programs and agency reporting requirements

• Conduct regulatory research and summarize federal, state, and local environmental requirements

• Coordinate with project managers to support project schedules and client deliverables

• Participate in client meetings and internal technical discussions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field

• 1–3 years of experience in environmental consulting, air quality, sustainability, compliance, or relevant professional experience preferred

• Familiarity with EPA GHGRP, CARB programs, air permitting, or emissions reporting is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
