Position Overview:
Analog and Mixed Signal Designer (Embedded Flash Memory)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analog and Mixed Signal Designer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge embedded Flash Memory IPs, which are comprised of analog and mixed-signal circuits. The ideal candidate will have a strong analog/mixed-signal background, hands-on experience in relevant design areas, and a deep understanding of underlying device physics. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role focused on technical execution and collaborative innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Execution and Design:
• Execute the design, development, and verification of analog and mixed-signal circuits for flash memory development, including charge pumps, voltage regulators, sense amplifiers, and memory interfaces.
• Analyze and review circuit architectures to optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) under the guidance of technical leads.
• Drive assigned technical tasks to address industry challenges in scaling, performance, and reliability for flash.
• Collaborate with world-wide cross-functional teams, including layout, process, test engineering, and product teams.
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring robust circuit performance under process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) variations.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with flash bit-cell architecture and product teams to align circuit design with system-level requirements.
• Interface with Process teams (Process Integration Engineers) to optimize technology for flash/NVM applications.
• Present project updates, technical reviews, and status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
3. Innovation and Best Practices:
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded flash and analog design.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
1. Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
2. Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design, with demonstrated focus on relevant embedded flash development concepts.
• Experience with complex designs and ownership of key circuit blocks.
3. Technical Skills:
• Deep understanding of NVM/embedded flash operation principles, including programming, reading, and reliability considerations.
• Working experience with various analog building blocks, such as current mirrors, operational amplifiers, sense amplifiers, charge pumps, oscillators, and LDOs.
• Proficient in design and simulation tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE simulators, extraction tools).
• Familiarity with process technology and layout considerations for relevant advanced nodes (e.g., 28nm).
• Device physics knowledge, particularly related to reliability and device behavior over PVT.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PERL or Python.
4. Desirable:
• Experience in silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization.
• Knowledge of reliability challenges such as endurance, retention, and soft errors in flash/NVM.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
