Change the world. Love your job.
Designers bring semiconductors to life by defining, developing, and/or modifying analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry. They work with other designers and the broader R&D and demand creation teams to align on approaches and parameters for a given device, creating block level specifications for the designs. They take the designs through the concept, implementation in schematic and supervising layout, followed by tape out to the fab. T hey also support silicon validation, test, qualification for reliability, and finally ramp to mass production. Designers also conduct tests and analyze data to ensure the chosen methods are optimal for the defined specifications and reliability requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
• Master's in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years of relevant analog design experience
Preferred requirements:
• Experience in design of power modules – regulators, LDOs, charge pumps etc. or in design of high-speed modules – transceivers, PLLs, oscillators etc.
• Knowledge of device physics and process technologies tradeoffs
• System level understanding and analysis; and the ability to translate requirements to an IC spec level
• Expected to interact and collaborate with a sense of ownership with all product development team members including design, layout, systems, verification, validation, test and program management
• Schematic generation and simulation, top level simulation, Monte Carlo analysis, physical layout management, signal grounding and routing tradeoffs, die area optimization, post layout parasitic extraction and simulation, verification of all IC level performance metrics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time delivery
