This position is ideal for an experienced field sales professional to join the North America Learning & Development team as Area Field Training Manager (Canada), ensuring our distributed sales teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to win.
Reporting to sales training leadership and directly supporting area initiatives, you will play a key role implementing strategy and solving business problems through targeted skill development and knowledge transfer. Your expertise will ensure our training programs and courses are relevant and realistic.
This is a full-time position at the Toronto office that will require frequent travel.
Role expectations
• Collaborate with field sales leadership, stakeholders, and commercial excellence to deliver localized training initiatives
• Use available data and KPIs to identify and prioritize skill development opportunities, monitor progress, analyze effectiveness, and report results to commercial leadership
• Partner with managers to create knowledge and skill development plans for team members
• Co-travel with targeted Territory Managers 3-4 days per week to provide coaching and identify scalable training opportunities
• Provide guidance to marketing and training initiatives as a subject matter expert
• Manage assigned FST program, strategy, and initiatives
• Assist with weekly area and regional calls
• Provide field intelligence to assist in needs analysis and training effectiveness
• Develop and support efforts to ensure messaging and resource use consistency
What we're looking for
• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in dental med device sales
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in field sales experience with documented results
• Skills: Sales, sales leadership, coaching, performance development, data fluency
• Communication: Demonstrated skills at all stakeholder levels and proven ability to influence with and without authority; Strong sense of ownership, holding self and others accountable to meet/exceed expectations
• Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects in a fast-paced, inclusive team environment

Pay Transparency
If provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S.
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
