Job Purpose
• Analyze and process credit proposals and applications of MashreqBank’s retail Lending Products also including Badr Products as well for approval or escalation to Credit Supervisors within the stipulated TAT.
• To ensure smooth implementation of the front-end automation of credit process solution across all lending products with significant gains in customer experience and productivity.
• Ensuring consistent application of credit policy, quality of underwriting decisions and of documents held as collateral
Key Result Areas
• Analyzing for approval or escalation to higher authority: eligibility as per policy, bank statement, past data check on “Flex cube “, Prime, and other applicable systems review through application system ‘IRIS/MWS’
• Measuring, evaluate and providing suggestion to improve the team’s productivity.
• To undertake various assigned projects to increase the unit productivity and to enhance product and credit policy for retail lending products.
• To be actively part of all trainings, process improvement initiatives and system changes for the product / process betterment
• Categorizing cases as ‘Declined’, ‘Rejected’, or ‘for Deviation Approval’ if above checks fail
• To ensure quality service to internal / external customers by adhering to the committed turnaround time
• To be first line of defense by exercising controls to book quality applications and to highlight any document anomalies sighted with the Fraud prevention unit
• To be actively involved in the process of training and testing implemented by the quality unit.
• To help in the on job training of the new staff in the team
• To be a key team player and should at all times keep the motivation levels up within the team
• Identifying anomalies in Credit Policy and Product Manual. Recommending additions and modifications to Credit Policy and Product Manual
• Recommending improvements in operational procedures and risk areas from time to time
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Graduate with > 3 years work experience in Credit Management environment.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge in MS office tools for report purposes
• Good PC skills.
• Ability to problem solving and work independently.
• Should be customer focused and achievement oriented.
