Contract Details

• Contract Length: 6 months

• Hours per week: ~40 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Hamilton automation methods (Venus 4 or 6; preference for Venus 6).

• Translate bench-based assays into scalable, automated workflows.

• Execute thorough method testing with attention to liquid handling parameters (e.g., pipetting accuracy, mixing efficiency, plate formats).

• Troubleshoot automation protocols to resolve hardware/software and fluid handling issues.

• Support assay validation on automation platforms and contribute to quality control efforts.

• Generate clear, well-documented protocols, reports, and records consistent with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams while maintaining the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.

• Hands-on experience with Hamilton automation systems (Venus software; strong preference for Venus 6).

• Demonstrated experience in translating manual assays to automated methods.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and methodical approach to problem-solving in automated workflows.

• Familiarity with general laboratory operations, sample handling, and liquid class optimization.

• Understanding of documentation practices and report generation.

• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

• Pay rate: $57.69 - $69.71 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
