Location:
We are looking for a Camera Lab Assistant located in Sofia, Bulgaria (hybrid mode of working) to join our team as a full time student intern for 12 months.
Role Summary
As an Camera Lab Assistant, you’ll gain hands on experience working directly with cutting edge devices - primarily cameras - by setting up new hardware, optimizing existing configurations, and working with the latest models on the market.
You’ll get the opportunity to build a strong technical foundation by exploring core device features, performance characteristics, and how they integrate into a broader software ecosystem.
What you will do
• Support day‑to‑day hardware operations and contribute to workflow optimization initiatives.
• Conduct inventory audits to maintain accurate records of all devices and equipment.
• Reorganize and maintain storage environments to ensure an efficient and orderly hardware setup.
• Identify and support process improvements that help keep the device pipeline running smoothly.
• Assist in managing the device lending and tracking workflow to ensure seamless access to equipment across the organization.
• Ensure reliable and timely device availability for teams, helping them stay productive and well‑equipped.
What you bring to the team
• Currently enrolled in a relevant higher education program (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technologies, or similar)
• Strong interest in camera technologies, hardware ecosystems, and devices used in modern video management workflows
• Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware components, and device setup/configuration principles
• Willingness to work hands on with physical devices, including setup, testing, organization, and hardware inventory operations
• Ability to follow technical procedures, troubleshoot basics, and document processes clearly and consistently
• Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail, especially when managing hardware, configurations, and inventory records
About the team
You’ll join a core engineering team responsible for the full lifecycle of our device drivers and Device Pack—the foundation of how hardware integrates with our platform. Working at the intersection of software, hardware, and embedded technologies, the team collaborates closely with cutting edge cameras and specialized equipment.
In this role, you’ll work with experienced engineers who focus on device ecosystems, hardware enablement, performance, and seamless software–hardware communication. You’ll gain hands on exposure to camera technologies, real world device behavior, and how raw hardware capabilities are transformed into production ready features within a collaborative, technically rich environment.
