Role Description
Total Grassroots is seeking a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead the company’s long-term expansion strategy across brand growth, market penetration, partnerships, customer acquisition, and revenue development.
This is a full-time remote role based in the United States for a senior executive with 15+ years of professional experience in growth leadership, business expansion, marketing strategy, venture scaling, or commercial operations.
The Chief Growth Officer will work directly with executive leadership to design and execute growth initiatives that shape the company’s market identity and accelerate national expansion. This is not a maintenance role designed to preserve legacy systems. It is a builder’s role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and understands how to create momentum where none previously existed.
The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational execution and understands how modern brands scale through audience behavior, partnerships, media positioning, data intelligence, and adaptive growth infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s overall growth strategy across customer acquisition, partnerships, market expansion, and revenue optimization.
Identify emerging business opportunities, strategic alliances, and high-potential market segments throughout the United States.
Build scalable systems for brand growth, audience engagement, and long-term customer retention.
Collaborate with leadership teams to align operational execution with growth objectives and market positioning.
Oversee growth-related initiatives spanning digital strategy, brand visibility, community engagement, and business development.
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to identify strategic advantages and expansion opportunities.
Drive performance metrics, forecasting models, and scalable growth frameworks across the organization.
Support the launch and expansion of new initiatives, campaigns, partnerships, and market entries.
Help shape the organizational culture, leadership direction, and long-term strategic identity of the company.
Qualifications
15+ years of professional experience in growth strategy, business development, executive leadership, marketing, revenue operations, or related fields.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and currently based within the U.S.
Proven track record of scaling businesses, launching growth initiatives, or leading expansion-focused operations.
Strong understanding of modern customer acquisition strategies, digital ecosystems, partnership development, and market positioning.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-growth or rapidly evolving environments.
Strong commercial instincts with the ability to balance innovation, execution, and measurable business outcomes.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to operate independently while driving alignment across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Preferred Background
Experience in startup environments, emerging brands, media ecosystems, consumer platforms, community-driven businesses, or growth-stage organizations.
Familiarity with modern engagement models, creator-driven ecosystems, strategic partnerships, or audience-led brand expansion.
Prior experience helping build companies during early or transitional growth stages is highly preferred.
