Context

We are entering a new scaling phase at Vocca. We recently closed our Series A, and we're well on track to grow ~6x this year.

• This level of growth requires a stronger, more reliable financial operating system to support day-to-day decisions and prepare for the next fundraising milestone. Today, cash and runway management, budgeting, and performance reporting are not structured enough to steer the company with confidence — today this is partially handled with an outsourced Finance Manager, and we need someone in-house to take ownership.

• At the same time, we need sharper, data-backed business decisions on growth priorities, unit economics, and new market tests (US, EU, new verticals).

• And we need to improve the operating rhythms (OKRs, people planning, leadership rituals) that will let a 25-person team scale toward 70 by year-end.

This role sits at the center of finance, strategy execution, and internal operations — making sure leadership can decide fast, align teams, and stay investor-ready.

Your Mission

Build and run Vocca's finance, strategy and operating system so leaders can make fast, high-quality decisions. In partnership with our outsourced Finance Manager, you own cash & forecasting, budgeting and performance management, and you make the company Series B-ready. You also drive 1–2 new-market or new-vertical GTM tests with clear scale/pivot/stop decisions, and install the cross-functional rhythms (OKRs, people planning) that scale with the team.

Year 1 — Where you'll spend your time

Time allocation will rebalance after year 1, once a dedicated Finance hire joins (see Beyond Year 1 below).

40–50% — Finance & strategic finance. Working hand-in-hand with our outsourced Finance Manager, you build and run Vocca's financial operating system from scratch: cash & runway management (weekly cadence, 13-week + 12–18 month forecast), budgeting and reforecast cycles per team, investor-grade reporting and Series B data room.

20–30% — Go-to-market expansion. You drive 1–2 new-market or new-vertical GTM tests end-to-end: market sizing, pricing hypotheses, channel strategy, success metrics, and a decision framework to scale, pivot, or stop. You build the business cases that inform our biggest growth bets (US expansion, new verticals, new geographies).

20–30% — Internal operations. You design and run the rhythms that let the team execute at speed: OKR cadence and quality bar, people & hiring planning, leadership rituals (board prep, exec syncs, monthly all-hands).

Beyond Year 1

Once a dedicated Finance hire joins (planned ~12 months in), your scope rebalances:

Less hands-on Finance — you transition the cash & forecasting cadence to the new hire, while keeping ownership of board-level finance narrative.

More GTM expansion — you take a larger role in driving new markets and verticals end-to-end, with deeper ownership of the strategic bets that follow Series B.

More strategic projects — you partner with the CEO on the highest-stakes decisions (M&A opportunities, new product/market combinations, org design).

The role evolves naturally toward a Head of Strategy or a GTM leadership track.

Expected outcomes after a year

• Rigorous cash & runway management in place: weekly cadence, 13-week + long-term forecast that holds.

• Clear budgeting and reforecast cycle running across teams, with named owners and documented trade-offs.

• Vocca "Series B ready" on the finance and metrics side: investor-grade reporting rhythm, high-quality data room.

• Financial and strategic models running to support key decisions (unit economics, scenario planning).

• 1–2 new-market GTM tests led end-to-end with clear success metrics and a scale/pivot/stop decision delivered.

• OKR cadence adopted across the company and tied to the financial plan.

This role gives you

• High-ownership seat with direct impact on company decisions, execution speed, and fundraising readiness.

• Broad scope across finance, strategy, GTM experimentation and operations.

• Direct exposure to founders and leadership, with the mandate to influence priorities and trade-offs.

• Opportunity to build the core operating system that will scale with the company.

• Fast learning curve across unit economics, growth, international expansion and people planning.

This role is for you if

Must have

• 5+ years in top-tier strategy consulting, transaction services, or VC, with experience inside a startup (or as a founder).

• You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you build simple systems from scratch and keep them running.

• You are low-maintenance, proactive, and take ownership without needing heavy processes or constant guidance.

• You bridge leadership and teams by turning messy questions into clear options and recommendations.

• Strong finance & analytical skills (budgeting, cash management, forecasting) in a high-growth context.

• You can combine strategy with execution — building business cases and driving decisions with data.

• Fluent in French, fully professional in English.

Nice to have

• You understand investor expectations and have supported fundraising preparation, reporting, and investor Q&A.

This role is NOT for you if

• You prefer well-defined environments and struggle with ambiguity, shifting priorities, or imperfect data.

• You focus on analysis and slides, but avoid hands-on implementation and operational follow-through.

• You optimize for individual recognition over team outcomes, and you don't naturally think "collective first".

Perspectives:

This role is designed to evolve quickly as Vocca scales. In the first phase, you will build the finance operating system (cash & runway cadence, forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting) and become the founders’ go-to partner for high-stakes, data-backed decisions. As the company approaches and executes the next fundraising milestone, the scope naturally expands into leading investor-grade reporting, owning cross-functional planning rhythms, and structuring GTM test-and-learn initiatives (new markets, new verticals) with clear scale/stop frameworks. In the medium term, the role can grow into a Head of Strategy or Head of Finance or GM position depending on Vocca’s needs and your wanted career track, with broader ownership over team planning, metrics infrastructure, and strategic initiatives aligned with international expansion and the company’s growth.

Perks and benefits:

• Equity (BSPCE)

• Executive contract (cadre) on a forfait-jours basis, with ~8–12 RTT days per year (depending on the year’s public holidays).

• Hybrid rhythm from Paris: 3-4 days at the office, 1-2 day per week remote.

• MacBook provided.

• Meal vouchers: €9 per working day (55% covered by the company).

• EGYM Wellpass (Gymlib).

• Health insurance: 50% of Alan covered.

• Public transport: 50% of Navigo covered.

• Annual offsite and multiple team events throughout the year.

Hiring process:

• (Visio) Initial screen with our Talent Acquisition Manager: 30 minutes.

• (Visio) Hiring Manager interview with Eliott, CEO: 45 minutes.

• (On site) Business case interview with Eliott and Lancelot (Founder associate): 60–75 minutes.

• (On site) Team fit (CTO, Head of sales, Head of operations): 60 minutes.

• References : 2–3 calls.

• Offer

We aim to keep the process within 30 days. You’ll receive continuous feedback throughout.
