Accountabilities:
• Provide legal counsel to Marketing and Market Access teams on brand strategy, promotional materials, and patient engagement initiatives
• Partner with Medical Affairs to advise on scientific exchange, field medical activities, and related materials
• Support cross-functional teams including product development, promotional review committees, and clinical or grant review groups
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
• Develop and implement policies, training programs, and guidance to promote a culture of compliance across the organization
• Review and advise on advertising and promotional practices to ensure alignment with regulatory standards
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to business stakeholders at all levels
• Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing practical, business-oriented legal advice
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission (or eligibility for in-house counsel admission)
• 8+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries
• Deep knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
• Proven experience advising on advertising, promotion, and brand-related legal matters
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in leading complex legal projects and driving them to completion
• Experience with pricing, privacy, or regulatory reporting matters is a plus
• In-house experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector preferred
