As a Field Representative, you’ll play a critical role in helping insurers make informed underwriting and pricing decisions. Through on‑site commercial property evaluations, you’ll assess risks, identify safety considerations, and deliver clear, actionable reports that directly influence coverage decisions.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
• Schedule and conduct on‑site evaluations of commercial properties across multiple lines of insurance coverage
• Assess business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety practices
• Identify potential risk factors and provide loss prevention and safety recommendations
• Produce accurate, high‑quality, customer‑focused reports that support underwriting and pricing decisions
• Professionally represent the company and its customers via in‑person visits, phone calls, and written communication
• Uphold data quality standards through detailed observation and effective documentation
• Plan and manage daily routes efficiently to maximize productivity within your assigned territory
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write concise, informative reports
• Proficiency with laptops, mobile devices, Microsoft Office, and mobile field applications
• Comfortable performing basic functional math (square footage, perimeter, percentages)
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to observe, measure, document, travel to sites, and work in varied environments and weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred Backgrounds
• Risk Management & Insurance
• Property & Casualty Insurance
• Construction Management
• Safety, Fire Protection, or Industrial Safety
• Experience in underwriting, claims, loss control, property inspections, or building compliance
Professional designations are a plus, including: CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU.
