The Role

ownpath is a design and product company that partners with enterprises and startups to craft great products through its Studios vertical, and upskills designers through its Academy.

Over the past year, we've been working with enterprises such as Philips Innovation, Hero MotoCorp, PhonePe, and others on projects spanning design systems, design ops, and digital product experiences.

We’re now expanding our team, and are looking for an Finance & Accounting Lead who can streamline our processes, manage accounting and financial operations, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning across the company.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience

• Strong understanding of operational workflows, financial processes, and basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency with accounting tools, spreadsheets, and internal management systems.

• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and process orientation.

• Comfort in taking ownership with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify operational gaps and propose improvements.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in startups.

• Familiarity with accounting software and CRM tools.

• Background in finance, business operations, or office administration.

What you'll do

• Handle finance and accounting operations our accounting partner (eg. bookkeeping, invoicing, expense tracking, etc.)

• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare periodic reports, and support budgeting and planning activities.

• Plan and follow-up on invoice payments with clients

• Track cashflows and coordinate with financial partners to raise debts as and when required

• Manage vendor, employees, and consultant relationships, contracts, and procurement.

• Maintain dashboards, trackers, and operations data to support leadership decision-making.
