Engineering Growth
We are a small, scrappy group that is relentlessly pushing the frontier of generative media. We operate like an applied research lab. Our mission is to become the largest and most influential source of video content on the internet. We are looking for someone to join us as our Founding Content Strategist. The Founding Content Strategist will own the outcome of every campaign we run — orchestrating our creatives and our tools, guiding our engineering roadmap, and collaborating with our account managers to hit campaign goals.
You are possibly someone whose resume we'd look at and be confused why you are applying to this role. You may not have figured out your path yet; or maybe you have. Either way, you have some level of confidence that your path may involve startups, social media, and/or AI. You care deeply that your team is a winning team. You are collaborative, reliable, and want to move fast.
You likely have some justifiable reason to be applying to a content strategist role. Maybe you've managed social media pages before; maybe that was hugely successful or you tried and failed but got the bug. Maybe you're a UGC creator on the side. Maybe you have been tinkering with video or image models, or have written thought pieces about where the world is headed with generative media.
You definitely are passionate about building things. You likely have a tendency to tinker on projects. You may or may not have experience writing code, but you've definitely been interested to know what it takes to build software.
You likely have friends and colleagues that consider you to be a leader. The kind of person who, when something you're responsible for is underperforming on a Saturday night, is already three experiments deep before anyone asks.
Possible backgrounds we have expected could do a great job in this role:
• Quit a fancy job in the past year to pursue an initiative of their own, looking to join a team, has great experience as a prompt engineer or social media content creator.
• Formerly started a company or worked as a freelancer, at some point being directly responsible for managing social media pages or content creation in some form.
• Extremely Type A social media manager interested in a high leverage position where they can take on more responsibility.
• Prompt engineer who got obsessed with social/content and wants to operate at scale
• Performance marketer or growth operator who's gotten obsessed with what generative media unlocks at scale.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Manhattan, NY. We work long hours, often weekends. We're trying to win. You will own the performance of client campaigns end-to-end — utilizing our internal tools, deploying them strategically across client accounts, and working closely with account managers to ensure campaigns are hitting their goals. You'll be responsible for translating client objectives into content strategies, monitoring performance, and making data-driven adjustments to maximize traffic and conversions.
Beyond client campaigns, you'll also contribute to owned-brand campaigns and exploratory work for new opportunities. You'll be responsible for orchestrating our community of creatives, involving occasional off-sites to our offices in Eastern Europe.
In a typical week you'll be deciding what content runs across thousands of accounts, monitoring which formats and hooks are working on which platforms, briefing our creatives on what's next, and pitching experiments for our owned brands.
We're looking for someone with strong creative instincts — enough to recognize and understand what makes content work — but whose primary orientation is analytical and performance-driven.
Ideal Qualifications (not all required; the more the merrier)
• Experience growing organic social media accounts
• Experience successfully running paid media campaigns
• Capable software engineer or prompt engineer
• Skilled with prompting the latest image and video models
We're offering a competitive salary with meaningful equity.
