Global Security Director

Atmus Filtration Technologies is seeking a Global Director of Security to lead and mature the company’s enterprise security and resilience capabilities as an independent, publicly traded organization. This role will establish centralized governance, strengthen global consistency, and elevate security from site-based execution to enterprise risk visibility, executive protection, and response readiness.

The Global Director of Security will protect Atmus’ people, assets, operations, and reputation while enabling resilience, compliance, and performance across global operations.

Responsibilities


Enterprise Security Leadership

• Establish and lead an enterprise-wide security operating model covering physical security, operational risk, intelligence, travel risk, and crisis response.

• Develop and implement global security policies, minimum standards, and governance frameworks.

• Integrate security risk into enterprise risk management (ERM), executive decision-making, and board oversight.

• Quantify physical and operational security risks in business and financial terms to support investment prioritization.

• Standardize site security readiness and third‑party risk oversight across regions.

Operational Security Controls

• Define enterprise standards for physical security controls, including access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and security monitoring.

• Lead the modernization and rationalization of Atmus’ global security technology portfolio.

• Provide governance and oversight of site-level implementation while supporting risk-based flexibility by region and facility type.

• Ensure consistency, effectiveness, and lifecycle management of access control and surveillance technologies globally.

• Partner with Operations, IT/Cyber, and Facilities to ensure secure system architecture, appropriate data protections, and resilience of security systems.

• Oversee vendor selection, performance, and integration for security technology and guarding services.

• Leverage technology to improve risk visibility, incident response, and operational efficiency across global sites.

• Support phased investment planning aligned to risk reduction, business growth, and global consistency.

Board and Executive (BOD & C‑Suite) Security

• Lead security planning and risk management for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.

• Provide executive protection oversight, including risk assessments, travel security, and event security.

• Support Board and C‑suite meetings, site visits, and global travel with appropriate security controls.

• Deliver concise, decision‑focused briefings to executive leadership and the Board.

• Serve as a trusted advisor on emerging threats, crisis response, and reputational risk.

Travel Risk, Incident, and Crisis Management

• Lead the global Travel Risk Management (TRM) program, including risk assessments, monitoring, escalation, and response.

• Establish a unified incident management framework enabling consistent reporting, response, and lessons learned.

• Design and lead the enterprise crisis management capability, including escalation protocols, governance, and response playbooks.

• Coordinate cross‑functional crisis response with Legal, Communications, Operations, and HR.

• Plan and conduct crisis simulations and tabletop exercises for executive leadership and site level leadership teams.

Intelligence & Reporting

• Build proactive security intelligence and threat monitoring capability to anticipate emerging risks.

• Define KPIs and deliver regular executive reporting on risk exposure, incidents, travel risk trends, and mitigation effectiveness.

Qualifications


Education

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Emergency Management or Crisis Resilience, Business Administration or International Business, or related subject required.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in global security leadership, operational risk, crisis management, or enterprise protection roles.

• Demonstrated success building or transforming enterprise security programs, including operational security controls.

• Strong understanding of physical security systems, executive protection, travel risk, incident response, and operational resilience.

• Proven ability to brief and influence C‑suite and Board‑level audiences.

• Experience in publicly traded, regulated, or high‑accountability environments preferred.

• Exceptional leadership, judgment, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Base salary range: $137,112.71 - $182,816.25
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
