Company Description


The Head of Operations is a senior entrepreneurial leadership role, acts as an integrated part of the organization, being a partner in the development of the business and adding value as an ambassador of operations. Develop and execute state-of-the-art operations that anticipate the organisation’s future needs, while implementing automation strategies to streamline processes and enhance departmental efficiency. Ensure timely supply to the market with top quality products (finished goods and visibility items) and services that reflects the premium brand of Red Bull at optimized costs. Manage the supply chain with its immediate objectives of transparency, flexibility, sustainability and efficiency with an end-to-end approach.

Responsible for implementing Red Bull standard operations processes and improve and develop existing processes in cooperation with Red Bull HQ. Accountable to deliver realistic plans to properly manage resources, capacities, materials and budgets. Plan, execute and finalize procurement strategies for goods and services spend across the organization. Manage and develop a top performance team.

Job Description


Stakeholder Communication and Management

• Drive the Efficiency and Effectiveness mind-set in the organization.

• Intense communication with all Red Bull stakeholders (internal, external & HQ) to understand their needs and support them in the most efficient way for the company. This includes customers, industry and trade associations.

• Engage with key customers to build trust and establish joint continuous improvement projects to optimize service levels, quality, and costs. (e.g.: build, maintain and develop customer collaboration platforms with top customers for planning and supply chain processes).

General and Execute Business Plan

• Create and own the operations business plan to ensure synchronization to global, regional and country strategy.

• End responsible for the Sales & Operations planning process in the organization to ensure proper forecasting and inventory management including order cycle of finished product and POS materials purchased from Red Bull HQ.

• Deep understanding and monitoring of all costs occurring in the operational area and implementation of cost saving initiatives. Internal (Red Bull group) and external benchmarks to ensure appropriate cost structures.

Procurement

• Ownership of Local Procurement: Procurement is explicitly defined as part of the Head of Operations ‘remit. This includes managing procurement activities directly or if the Procurement function exists, overseeing the local Procurement Manager/team.

• Procurement ambassador: The Head of Operations is expected to champion Procurement within the organisation; raising awareness, promoting best practices, and ensuring alignment with HQ standards.

• Establishing the Procurement function: In markets where Procurement is not yet formalised, the Head of Operations must lead the setup of the function (in accordance with HQ guidelines).

• Governance and Compliance: They are responsible for ensuring procurement processes follow HQ standards, such as the 6-step sourcing approach, and for integrating ESG criteria into procurement decisions.

• Strategic oversight: The Head of Operations must enable transparency in spend categories, support supplier selection, and ensure contracts align with operational goals.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Own and drive portfolio management (incl. product Lifecycle and post launch evaluations) within the local organization. Challenge status quo and critically review current product portfolio. Act as the gatekeeper when it comes to product launches, phase out´s.

• Effective and efficient management of local service providers, including the responsibility of defining and adjusting related SLA´s to adapt them to the constant changes of business requirements. This includes constructive feedback to HQ for service providers managed centrally with impact in local organizations.

• Ensure and support that quality standards defined through Red Bull HQ Quality been implemented, published internally and executed in the local organization. Strengthen the quality awareness within local organization in supporting with regular quality onsite audits (warehouse), reviews (quality KPI´s) and trainings.

Policy Development and Implementation

• Deep understanding and proper documentation of the processes & systems landscape and assurance of the international Red Bull standards.

• Accountable for the up-to-date and accuracy of data in the relevant Red Bull systems.

• Develop, implement and central storage of all purchasing policies, outsource guidelines and procedures (bid proposals, qualify of vendors, requirements documentation,) in conjunction with HQ and all departments with specific requirements.

• Responsible for in-time reporting of KPIs to HQ and to internal stakeholders defining appropriate reporting requirements for the market (e.g.: Dashboard, etc.).

• Ensure that all above mentioned tasks are carried out by well-trained people within the operations department. Ensure our People are equipped to support and deliver on all above-mentioned responsibilities through coaching/development and trainings.

Sustainability

• Report developments regarding risks and opportunities occurring of political/public measures in the field of sustainability to HQ on a regular basis and take ownership of all sustainability groups in the trade/industry associations. This includes to support Marketing and On-Premise in organizing recycling concepts for our Red Bull events.

• Manage & lead implementation and execution of national Health & Safety regulations in the local organization.

• Be the local sustainability ambassador for global and local guidelines / projects.

Qualifications

• Proven records of strategic business integration cross functionally.

• Several years (at least 7) of experience in the area of Operations within an international supply chain in a group context.

• High levels of personal energy and drive.

• Strong leadership skills can motivate and lead teams.

• An entrepreneurial ‘can do’ attitude facilitated by continuous learning and application of appropriate ‘best practices’.

• Is experienced in project management.

• Hands on professional who also has the passion for details.

• Proactive, continuous improvement and quality minded.

• Working knowledge of SAP R/3 and APO is a strong plus. Good skills on all MS products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint are a must.
