Purpose of Role

In order to achieve the business goals, assist Assistant Director of Learning & Development in delivering market-leading training practices consistent with Corporate, Brand and Regional Human Resources policies. In particular:

- Keep high level of individual performance

- Keep high level of guest and Talent satisfaction

Coordinate hotel generic, departmental, language training and online training. Manage and track training data.

Responsibly Description

#Training Overall#

- Liaising with Human Resources and Assistant Director of Learning & Development, develop an effective annual training plan which meets the needs of Talent, thus assists W Taipei with achieving its goals and objectives

- Assist with the publication of annual and monthly training courses calendar and ensure maximum attendance through clear communication via liaison with Department Heads on a regular basis.

- Develop, source and conduct training courses scheduled per the training calendar. Host customize courses when appropriate to meet requirements of W Taipei.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities. Ensure all requests for training by Talent are responded to in a timely manner and follow up is conducted when appropriate.

- Ensure all Talent are informed of their training schedule.

- Monitor the effectiveness of pre- and post-course briefings to ensure maximum benefit from training courses, and identify future training needs.

- Ensure new hires complete orientation and brand programs, and deliver these programs as needed.

- Monitor the learning progress of Talent across all assigned courses and prepare monthly reports to support the achievement of annual goals.

- Monitor all training activities conducted on and off site.

- Keep training records of each individual Talent.

- Regularly update training materials to ensure the content remains accurate and up to date.

- Evaluate training effectiveness by attending as many training sessions as possible.

- Communicate regularly with departmental trainers and provide training support as needed.

- Prepare training materials and setup for class accordingly.

- Monitor training room condition and cleanness.

- Establish a training library of books, journals and resources (Handout/PPT Slide/recording) to assist trainer and Talent development.

- Source and obtain specialist assistance to conduct training when needed.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training resource suppliers.

- Handle Welfare Committee related tasks and assist Talent with subsidy applications, festival and birthday bonus.

#Finance#

- Purchase training materials as required.

- Assist with implementation of methods for evaluating cost-effectiveness of training programs.

#Talent Development#

- Support Marriott leadership development program participation, including communication program offerings, facilitating enrolment, supporting technical issues.

- Utilize BECOME resources for career development.

#General/Communication#

- In conjunction Human Resources and Assistant Director of Learning & Development, develop and maintain an effective performance management program in line with Marriott policy; provide regular training for Talent Coaches and ensure appraisals are completed on a regular basis.

- Communicate relevant training information to Management Team on a regular basis. Attend and play an active part in Human Resources and other designated meetings.

- Develop effective links with partnership organisations, such as universities and colleges, training vendors, other properties Learning & Development co-workers, and etc.

- Actively promote a work environment that cares for guests and Talent alike.

- Assist with reward and certification programs.

- Ensure and maintain a high level of work area cleanness.

- Demonstrate professional attitude and behaviour at all times.

- Prepare and maintain files, reports, letters, memos and other relevant business documentation.

- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
