HR Operations Manager
Remote (East Coast)
We’re partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare company transforming how obesity and cardiometabolic conditions are managed through a combination of clinical care, GLP-1 therapies, and data-driven population health solutions.
This role sits within an early-stage, rapidly scaling team and will focus on building and owning the operational backbone of the People function. You’ll work closely with leadership to ensure a seamless employee experience across payroll, benefits, onboarding, and core HR operations, while helping bring structure and scalability to a growing organization.
What you’ll do
• Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across bi-weekly cycles
• Administer and continuously improve employee benefits programs, serving as a key point of contact for related questions and support
• Lead and optimize onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience from offer through day one and beyond
• Build and refine scalable HR workflows, policies, and processes to support company growth
• Partner with external vendors and evaluate new systems or tools as the organization scales
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Collaborate closely with leadership and hiring managers to support strong execution of people programs
• Own and improve HR systems (HRIS), with the opportunity to implement new tools and infrastructure over time
• Leverage data and reporting to improve visibility into HR operations and support decision-making
• Contribute to overall employee experience, ensuring employees are set up for success from day one
Requirements
• 5–8+ years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or HR generalist roles
• Strong experience managing payroll and benefits administration
• Experience owning onboarding and employee lifecycle processes end-to-end
• Comfort working with (and improving) HR systems and operational workflows
• Highly detail-oriented with strong execution and organizational skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ownership
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Preferred:
• Experience in healthcare, biotech, or high-growth startup environments
• Exposure to HR systems implementation or process build-out
• Experience leveraging HR data and analytics to drive improvements
