Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales & Solutioning
• Partner with Sales on complex deals involving:
• Revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
• ERP integrations (Netsuite, Oracle, SAP)
• Lead discovery discussions with Finance stakeholders (Controllers, CFOs)
• Translate customer accounting requirements into scalable system designs
• Validate feasibility and identify risks early in the sales cycle
• Provide effort estimates and timeline guidance for RevRec-heavy deals
2. Solution Design & Architecture
• Define end-to-end revenue recognition workflows:
• Performance obligations
• Allocation rules
• Revenue schedules
• Design integration architecture between:
• Billing platforms (e.g., Chargebee)
• ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite)
• RevRec systems
• Recommend best practices and simplification strategies
3. Implementation & Delivery Support
• Work with Implementation and Partner teams to:
• Validate configurations
• Ensure alignment with accounting standards
• Review data migration strategies and revenue data models
• Support UAT and financial validation of revenue reports
• Troubleshoot complex revenue recognition issues during implementation
4. Customer & Internal Advisory
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer finance teams
• Provide guidance on:
• Revenue compliance
• Process optimization
• Collaborate with Product teams to influence roadmap based on customer needs
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CA / CPA / ACCA (preferred 6–12+ years of experience in:
• Revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
• Accounting systems and financial processes
Must-Have Experience
• Hands-on experience with at least one RevRec system:
• Chargebee RevRec / Netsuite ARM / Zuora RevPro / similar
• Experience integrating RevRec systems with:
• ERP platforms (Netsuite strongly preferred)
• Billing platforms
• Strong understanding of:
• Subscription and usage-based business models
• SaaS revenue workflows
Technical & Functional Skills
• Deep knowledge of:
• Revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
• Contract modifications, allocations, and deferrals
• Experience with:
• Netsuite (financials + ARM module preferred)
• CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot – good to have)
• Strong data and system thinking:
• Data mapping
• System integrations
• Ability to simplify complex accounting scenarios into scalable solutions
Soft Skills
• Strong stakeholder management (Finance, Sales, Product)
• Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts in simple terms
• Structured problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-paced environments

• Experience working in SaaS / subscription businesses
