Texas Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Intern to be responsible for evaluating and supporting our manufacturing operations.
Shadow and support supervisors in overseeing daily production activities across assigned shifts or work cells
• Coordinate crew assignments, material flow, and shift handoffs
• Monitor production output, quality metrics, and downtime; compile and present findings to leadership
• Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective action plans
• Build and maintain operational models to simulate and analyze production capacity, throughput, bottlenecks, and resource utilization
• Optimize production schedules and workflows to improve line efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize idle time or WIP buildup
• Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing analyses
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions based on findings

Qualifications
▋ Minimum requirements
• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
▋ Preferred qualifications:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working on the production floor with frontline employees
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred); experience with Excel VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus
