Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Interior Designer specializing in commercial spaces. The position is based in San Diego, CA, with opportunities to work remotely part-time. The Junior Interior Designer will work closely with senior designers and project managers to develop creative design solutions, assist in space planning, prepare construction drawings, select furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and ensure designs align with client goals and project timelines. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members, sourcing materials, and ensuring projects adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Space Planning, Interior Design, and working on commercial design projects.

• Understanding of Architecture and knowledge of Construction Drawings and documentation processes.

• Proficiency in selecting and specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).

• Proficiency in design software such as VectorWorks, Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant tools.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and with clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Knowledge of commercial interior design trends and building codes is a plus.
