About the Role - Junior Software Engineer (or Internship)
We’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer or Intern who’s excited to learn, curious about how real systems work, and comfortable jumping across the stack with guidance from experienced engineers.
Location requirement: Candidates must be based in Berlin.
What You’ll Do
• Build and improve backend services that power real-time AI features and search
• Help design and implement APIs for internal and external integrations
• Contribute across the stack when needed (backend, frontend, infrastructure)
• Work closely with product managers, ML engineers, and other software engineers
• Take tasks from implementation through deployment, with mentorship and code reviews
Participate in technical discussions and learn best practices through hands-on work
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or currently pursuing one)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solid foundation in computer science
• Familiarity with at least one backend language (Python, Go, Node.js, or similar)
• Basic experience working with APIs (REST, gRPC, or equivalent)
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have
• 0–2 years of experience in software engineering (internships count)
• Exposure to databases like PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, or similar
• Basic understanding of system design, distributed systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Some familiarity with frontend development (React or similar frameworks)
• Exposure to AI assisted development and AI workflows

• We will only reach out to candidates who qualify based on their coding challenge results.
• Qualified candidates will then proceed to a series of technical interviews, followed by an HR interview.
