Lead Automation QA Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team full-time in Slovakia.

About the role:

As a Lead QA Automation Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Architect test automation frameworks from scratch

• Develop automated functional UI and API tests

• Integrate automated scripts into the CI/CD process

• Develop, maintain, and expand automated testing infrastructure

• Lead code reviews, set high-quality standards, and guide team members in writing better code

• Define quality metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and the overall quality of the product as part of the test automation process

• Analyze test results and report on the stability of the product under test.

• Collaborate with other team members to automate manual testing processes.

• Manage, analyze, and mitigate testing risks.

• Onboard new team members to the project.

• Suggest improvements to testing and release workflows.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in QA automation for web and backend/API testing

• Excellent knowledge of different testing methods, techniques, types, and methodologies

• Experience creating or actively maintaining test documentation (test strategies, test plans, etc.)

• Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch

• Solid skills in Java, programming patterns, and principles

• Experience integrating test reporting processes using tools such as Allure or similar

• Experience writing automation scripts for UI and REST APIs using tools such as Selenium and RestAssured

• Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Cucumber and TestNG

• Experience with BDD, ATDD, or TDD approaches

• Experience implementing continuous integration processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines

• Hands-on experience with Docker

• Experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban development environments

• Good English skills — Upper-Intermediate level or higher

Desirable:

• Knowledge of AWS and Azure DevOps services

• Experience with API test automation for microservices-based applications

• Experience with mobile automation and cloud device farms

• Experience working with message brokers and queues such as SQS, SNS, Kafka, and RabbitMQ

• Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis

• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C# is a strong plus

The salary starts from 3000 Euro gross. The final salary depends on the previous experience and professional knowledge of the candidate.
