Lead Software Engineer In Test

We are looking for a Lead SDET to join our core engineering team and establish a world-class test automation ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone excited about applying AI-driven techniques in software testing and quality assurance.

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the automation strategy across web, APIs, backend, and data workflows.

• Build and maintain test automation frameworks with AI-assisted capabilities (self-healing tests, intelligent test case prioritization, flaky test detection).

• Leverage AI/ML models to generate, optimize, and maintain test cases from requirements and user stories.

• Integrate AI-powered analytics to detect anomalies in system performance, user flows, and error patterns.

• Use natural language processing (NLP) models to create chatbot-driven test cases and validate conversational interfaces.

• Collaborate with developers to implement shift-left testing and embed AI-driven unit/integration test generation.

• Define quality dashboards with predictive insights (defect trends, release risk scoring, auto root-cause suggestions).

• Conduct AI-based regression impact analysis to optimize test execution pipelines.

• Explore generative AI tools for auto-generating mock data, load scenarios, and security attack simulations.

• Mentor team members in adopting AI-first testing practices.

Key Skills Required

• 8+ years of experience in QA/SDET roles, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

• Strong programming skills in Python/Java/JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.) and API testing (Postman, RestAssured,Java HTTPClient).

• Proven experience in integrating AI/ML tools into test automation pipelines. Examples:

• Self-healing automation tools (Testim, Mabl, Functionize, etc.)

• AI-driven test case generation & prioritization

• Intelligent anomaly detection for QA metrics

• Familiarity with AI-based load/performance testing (e.g., using ML models to predict scale issues).

• Experience in CI/CD with AI integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).

• Knowledge of data validation testing for AI/ML models (bias, drift, accuracy validation) is a strong plus.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
