Our culture and communities
We look for the world’s very best—regardless of background or where they were educated. That breadth of skills and perspectives makes us better partners to our clients. And it's the foundation of our diverse meritocracy where our people learn from each other, grow faster, and achieve more.
In addition to the connections you make on projects, you’ll find vibrant communities and networks that offer support and belonging to help you thrive.
All kinds of brilliance
From day one, your point of view matters. We do our best work when different experiences and perspectives come together around something meaningful.

Our networks and communities
We foster a supportive environment through a variety of networks dedicated to our people. These networks provide mentorship, build community, and cultivate a sense of belonging, empowering individuals to grow and reach their full potential. All networks are open to all firm colleagues, regardless of background or self-identity.
Access McKinsey
A global network, Access McKinsey supports colleagues navigating disabilities (visible and invisible), chronic illnesses, and mental health challenges. Like all McKinsey affinity networks, Access is open to all colleagues.
Asians at McKinsey
Our Asians at McKinsey (AAM) network is a vibrant community that strives to nurture leadership and forge connections among our colleagues of Asian backgrounds and allies to the Asian community. Its shared mission centers around equitable leadership representation and fostering a thriving environment for all.
Black Network
Since 1991, our global Black Network has brought people together and created opportunities for colleagues, clients, and alumni. Whether through social events, professional development conferences, or mentorship, this network is incredibly active and supports our colleagues of all tenures.
Equal at McKinsey
Founded in 1995, Equal at McKinsey, our LGBTQ+ and allies’ network, formally demonstrates our commitment to LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion. The community has grown to include straight colleagues as allies, works with human rights organizations, and is a source of support and mentorship.
Hispanic and Latino Network
Our Hispanic and Latino Network includes Americans of Hispanic background and colleagues from Latin America and Spain who live and work in the United States, and allies. With its great diversity of members, this community offers networking, mentorship, and support.
Prism
We want McKinsey to feel like home for everyone. Our Prism community (‘Progressing Representation and Inclusion in Social Mobility’) connects colleagues interested in social mobility and broadening others’ access to our firm. Our Prism members come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Veterans@McKinsey
Veterans@McKinsey supports colleagues from all branches of military service around the world. Its goal is to create a vibrant community of leaders with shared experience of military service, who understand the transition from the military to the private sector and support one another personally and professionally.
Women's initiatives
McKinsey offers a range of local, regional, and global initiatives to provide mentoring, training, and relationship-building opportunities for colleagues interested in our commitment to create an exceptional environment for the growth and advancement of women.
