As a Practice Optimization Specialist (POS), you will play a critical role in supporting the Practice Development Managers (PDMs) and partnering closely with the sales team to drive high-impact, revenue-generating in-clinic activities. You will work directly with dental clinic staff, dentists, and orthodontists to ensure they are fully equipped to integrate and optimize the use of Align Technology products - including Invisalign, iTero, and Vivera - within their practices.
In this role, you will design and deliver comprehensive training programs that enhance clinical teams’ knowledge, skills, and confidence to elevate patient experiences and increase adoption. By facilitating seamless product integration and fostering strong engagement across partner clinics, you will help drive sustained growth and incremental revenue.
Key Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will…
Training Program Development & Delivery
• Assist in the design, development, and delivery of structured training programs—based on identified gaps and needs— to strengthen clinic staff competency across Align products, including Invisalign, iTero, and Vivera.
• Deliver engaging, informative, and interactive training sessions utilizing effective instructional methodologies to ensure strong knowledge retention and practical skill application.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of training agendas and course content to ensure impactful learning experiences.
Clinic success and strategic support
• Collaborate with PDMs to assess clinic needs and provide tailored support that drives business growth and increases utilization of Align Technology products.
• Partner with clinics to implement strategic, practice‑enhancing solutions that improve operational efficiency and elevate patient outcomes.
• Actively gather, analyse, and respond to customer feedback—identifying challenges and needs, and working with your manager to implement effective, customer‑centric solutions.
New Provider Onboarding and Engagement
• Support together with the PDMs, the onboarding of new Invisalign providers through events and targeted training initiatives.
• Conduct follow-up activities to ensure new providers are fully equipped to integrate Align products into their workflows and achieve early, sustainable success.
In-Clinic Activation Execution
• Collaborate with PDMs and customers to plan and execute high‑impact in-clinic activities such as open days, staff training sessions, and promotional events to drive Align products adoption.
• Manage the operational aspects of in-clinic engagements, including scheduling, agenda alignment, logistics coordination, and preparation of marketing support materials.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for in‑clinic events, ensuring clear communication and seamless execution.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
To be successful in this role, you’ll need…
• A Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or equivalent professional experience.
• The ability to quickly learn, absorb new information, and adapt to changing environments.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering effective, engaging training programs for diverse audiences.
• A strong customer‑centric mindset with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong presentation development skills using PowerPoint, including data visualization, charts, visuals, narratives, and executive‑ready slides.
• Previous onsite experience working in dental clinics or a dental background is highly advantageous.
• Interest in workflow optimization and implementation, with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the initiative to analyse customer feedback and implement appropriate solutions.
• A results‑driven approach with strong follow‑through and a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel to plan, develop, execute, and track training and clinic support initiatives.
• A proven track record of successfully executing initiatives within a high‑performing team environment.
• The ability to work independently as a self‑starter while remaining accountable to team goals and performance expectations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to navigate dynamic clinic environments and evolving business needs.
• Availability for field presence (70%+), including travel and occasional weekend work.
