Your Role at Vertice

We’re looking for a superstar Product Designer to join our growing design function and work closely with our product and engineering teams. Reporting into our Design Lead and working alongside our existing Product Designers, you’ll be responsible for building intuitive and friendly solutions to complex user problems — working on new analytics dashboards, data visualizations, and interaction patterns — all whilst helping to build a world-class digital design system. The ideal candidate is passionate about both developing UX practices and shipping great product UI.

This person will have a significant impact on Design and Product at Vertice, and will have a large hand in building on our product design playbook. A great candidate will work flexibly between UX and UI, and enjoy overlapping challenges to deliver work that both enables great customer experiences, and which you can be truly proud of from a design perspective. This could include conducting user research and testing, to developing wireframes and flows, to crafting high-fidelity prototypes.

What you’ll be doing

Working on solving complex design challenges with confidence.Building wireframes and user flows informed by user testing and design research, allowing us to ship complex features with confidence.Partnering closely with product managers to ship new features and designs from scratch.Conducting user testing with both internal and external stakeholders to validate design thinking.Work directly with other designers to ship prototypes and designs which both satisfy PM needs, and create great customer experiences.Building relationships with engineers to ensure faithful delivery of our design concepts.

Things you’ll have done before

Have 4+ years experience working in a Product Design team and collaborating with product managers and other designers.Have excellent communication skills in English and an ability to manage multiple stakeholders across remote working environments.Have designed for SaaS web dashboards, or data-heavy visualization tools.

Things we like to see

• A strong portfolio showcasing past UX/UI case studies from start to finishExperience working with B2B SaaS products and their typical end-user personasExperience within a startup environment or smaller design team, including experience being the sole or founding designer

• Familiarity with moderately complex design problems, often involving displaying large amounts of data or catering a user experience to multiple user types

• Humility, kindness and respect in working with others. We’re hoping to create a supportive and caring culture of high performing people, and your attitude is just as important as your skillset

• Individuals that are eager to start something new; to commit to an ambitious plan and co-create a memorable and meaningful company.
