Product Manager

SkillCat is the largest online trade school for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical. We've trained over 400,000+ students and work with hundreds of companies in the Skilled Trades.

In this role, you'll be the lead Product Manager on our B2B product - helping support home service businesses across the country in empowering their people. You won’t be handed a detailed roadmap. But you will have clear direction, fast feedback, and high expectations - working directly with our Head of Product and CEO.

You must be able to:

* Run real customer discovery — not surveys, real conversations with HVAC shop owners and training managers that produce insight

* Translate discovery into prototypes fast. Figma, code, stitched-together hacks — whatever gets an answer in front of a customer in a week, not a month

* Make clear calls on what to ship and what to cut, and defend them with evidence

* Work directly with engineering to build and ship

Who You Are

* 2–5 years in product, ideally at early-stage companies

* Strong plus if you have previous Skilled Trades or B2B EdTech background

* Strong plus if you are a former Founder

* Strong in customer discovery and product judgment

* Fast — you move from idea → test → learning quickly

* Comfortable owning a product area end-to-end

Not a Fit If:

* You need fully defined requirements before starting

* You rely on surveys instead of real conversations

* You’ve only worked in large, highly structured teams

* You struggle to make decisions with incomplete information
