This is a part‑time opportunity to join a hands‑on R&D engineering team and gain real‑world experience alongside experienced engineers. The role is embedded in a multidisciplinary environment and involves testing, integration, lab work, and day‑to‑day engineering support. It is well suited for technically oriented students looking to complement their studies with practical, meaningful R&D experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Support R&D activities through execution, setup, and documentation of engineering tests, including data collection and clear test reporting
• Perform mechanical and electromechanical integration of prototypes and sub‑assemblies in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
• Take day‑to‑day responsibility for the mechanics lab, including tools, equipment, consumables, readiness, and basic maintenance
• Provide purchasing, logistics, and order‑tracking support for R&D activities
• Act as a point of contact with subcontractors and vendors for parts, services, and deliveries, under engineer guidance
• Support experienced engineers with hands‑on technical tasks as needed
• Optional: Assist with mechanical design and documentation tasks using SolidWorks

• Technical orientation with a hands‑on mindset
• Ability to work in a structured R&D and laboratory environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to document work clearly (tests, results, tracking, reports)
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Availability for consistent part‑time work
• Education / Background
• Student in engineering, science, or a related technical field OR
• Practical engineering / technician background OR
• Previous engineering or technical hands‑on experience
• Advantages (Nice‑to‑Have)
• Mechanical engineering background or studies
• Experience working in an R&D, lab, or prototyping environment
• Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks – advantage)
• Experience with purchasing, logistics, or vendor coordination
• Experience supporting testing or integration activities
