About this opportunity
To support our business growth and expansion, we are looking for a Revenue Analyst to join our global revenue accounting team.
This position will be based in Malaysia and report to Senior Manager, Technical Revenue Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will…
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly close processes for US GAAP revenue accounting including the preparation of account reconciliations, manual journal entries for revenue allocations and deferred revenue
• Support transactions review for APAC University Grantee Program, credit memos activities, revenue cut-off etc.
• Prepare dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to communicate key revenue metrics
• Provide global support by analyzing large and complex revenue datasets for actionable insights through data analytics
• Perform system integrity check to ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Support worldwide product and geographical expansion by participating in testing and validation of system enhancements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Support internal/external audit request in compliance with SOX requirements
• Support other tax queries and statutory audits relating to deferred revenue
• Other ad hoc projects
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
In this role, you’ll need …
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, CPA/CA/ACCA preferred
• 4+ years of relevant experience with fast-growing multinational company, Big 4 accounting /advisory/audit experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, Pivot), and Power BI etc.
• Experience with data analysis and financial modeling
• Experience with SAP ERP system, hands-on experience with Power BI is a plus
• Good understanding of US GAAP (ASC606) and SOX compliance preferred
• Excellent written and communication skills in English, good command of Chinese is an advantage
• Proactive, meticulous, and a good team player
• Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and independent
• Result oriented and excellent problem-solving skills
