Oracle is seeking a Senior Director to lead global sourcing strategy for storage and memory technologies supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and on-premises platforms. This role owns one of the most critical and supply-constrained categories in the infrastructure stack, including SSDs, HDDs, DRAM, and NAND.

The leader will manage a global team and drive end-to-end strategy across supplier selection, commercial negotiations, long-term capacity planning, and supply chain resiliency. This role partners closely with Engineering, Product, and executive leadership to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and secure supply in a rapidly growing cloud environment.

Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

• Own global sourcing strategy for storage and memory categories, including SSD, HDD, DRAM, and NAND technologies.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of sourcing leaders and commodity managers across regions.

• Drive long-term supplier strategy, including executive-level engagement with key industry partners (e.g., memory manufacturers and storage OEMs).

• Define and execute multi-year capacity planning and supply assurance strategies in highly constrained markets.

• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to influence architecture decisions and align sourcing strategy with technology roadmaps.

• Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing frameworks, supply agreements, and strategic partnerships.

• Drive cost optimization while balancing performance, quality, and supply risk across the product lifecycle.

• Establish risk mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing, geographic diversification, and contingency planning.

• Influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders to align on sourcing strategies, trade-offs, and investments.

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or supplier management, with significant experience in hardware, storage, or memory technologies (SSD, HDD, DRAM, NAND)

• 5+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing global teams, including senior managers or directors.

• Proven track record owning commodity strategy and supplier relationships at scale, including cost, supply continuity, and performance.

• Deep experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including pricing, capacity, and long-term supply contracts.

• Strong cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Engineering, Product, and Finance

• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive decisions in complex, ambiguous environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience sourcing memory and storage components (e.g., NAND, DRAM, SSDs, HDDs) in high-volume or cloud infrastructure environments

• Experience working with major industry suppliers (e.g., Samsung, Micron, SK Hynix, Kioxia, Western Digital, Seagate)

• Background in cloud, hyperscale, or data center infrastructure environments

• Experience with ODM/JDM models and hardware product development cycles

• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of market dynamics, supply constraints, and pricing trends in memory/storage markets

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
