This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and scale a high-impact external events program, transforming conferences, customer events, field marketing, and sponsorships into measurable business outcomes. You will take full ownership of strategy, planning, and execution, working closely with Sales and Marketing to drive pipeline, brand awareness, and customer engagement. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring adaptability, initiative, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and program performance while operating with a high degree of autonomy. Frequent travel—up to 50%—is part of the role, offering exposure to diverse events and markets. Accountabilities:
• Audit, optimize, and scale the external events program across conferences, customer events, field marketing, and sponsorships
• Build and maintain a master events calendar with clear objectives, ROI frameworks, and success metrics
• Execute flagship events end-to-end, including strategy, logistics, on-site management, and post-event reporting
• Develop repeatable playbooks, SOPs, and frameworks for event execution and sponsorship evaluation
• Manage vendor and agency relationships, ensuring quality delivery and maximum ROI
• Align events with broader GTM motions and pipeline goals, serving as the internal authority on event strategy
• Deliver data-driven post-event analysis and recommendations to inform future event planning
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience leading external events, preferably in SaaS, FinTech, or fast-paced B2B environments
• Proven ability to develop and execute multi-format event strategies with measurable business impact
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership
• Expertise in project management, budgeting, vendor/agency management, and sponsorship negotiations
• Data-driven mindset, comfortable defining KPIs and translating performance into actionable insights
• Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing without formal authority
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
