Your Role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will join a small, collaborative, and international legal team and act as a trusted legal partner to the business. Reporting directly to the VP Legal & General Counsel, you will work with a high degree of autonomy across commercial, corporate, and compliance topics, supporting a fast-scaling organization with pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance. This role is hands-on and impact-driven, with real ownership of complex matters and the opportunity to shape how legal supports the company as it grows.
Location: Berlin, Germany (on-site 3x/week)
Your Impact
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex B2B commercial contracts, including customer and strategic partner agreements, and own negotiations end to end
• Provide strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives and business priorities
• Anticipate, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks by leading risk assessments and implementing practical, scalable mitigation approaches
• Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to influence decision-making and support critical initiatives
• Contribute senior legal judgment to compliance, corporate governance, and post-merger integration topics, acting as a point of accountability within the legal team
Your Skills
• Fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Second State Exams with at least “befriedigend”), or England & Wales (Solicitor qualification)
• Significant in-house experience owning commercial contracts, including complex drafting and leading negotiations in a B2B environment
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risks
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take end-to-end ownership, and navigate ambiguity across cross-functional topics
• Clear, effective communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
