The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations for Optical Solutions in Vietnam, ensuring operational excellence in terms of productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
This role drives strategic planning, process optimization, and team leadership to support business growth and high-performance manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations & Planning (25%)
• Develop and execute operational strategies, budgets, and long-term plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor performance, manage risks, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and governance standards.
Manufacturing & Process Operations (40%)
• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to achieve targets on quality, yield, cost, and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement, optimize productivity, and ensure stable and efficient production processes.
New Product & Process Development (15%)
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer activities to ensure smooth ramp-up and cost optimization.
• Support process development initiatives to enhance manufacturing capability and competitiveness.
People Management & Projects (20%)
• Lead, develop, and manage teams (managers/supervisors) to achieve business objectives.
• Drive performance management, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.
• Support cross-functional projects, customer audits, and continuous improvement programs (e.g., 5S, operational excellence).
Job Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience in operations management, process optimization, and manufacturing excellence.
Skills
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex operations.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, yield improvement, and cost control.
• Experience in supply chain, production planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of finance and business operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment and support 24/7 operations.
