Senior OpenShift / Linux Engineer - Manama, Bahrain

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift / Linux Engineer to manage, deploy, and optimize containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration skills and hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and highly available container platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS)

• Design and support containerized applications and microservices architectures

• Manage Kubernetes clusters (via OpenShift) including scaling, upgrades, and monitoring

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices

• Troubleshoot platform, container, and infrastructure issues

• Ensure system security, patching, and compliance standards

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for application deployment

• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and container platforms

• Hands-on experience with:

• Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

• Kubernetes and Docker/containers

• Linux (RHEL/CentOS)

Strong understanding of:

• Container orchestration

• Networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, ingress)

• Storage in container environments

• Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
