We are looking for a Senior Operations & Strategy Specialist to drive the strategy, operations, and growth of our Intercity business across 1–3 countries, with a primary focus on Morocco.
In this highly autonomous role, you will combine macro-regional strategic thinking with hands-on local execution to optimise key business metrics, enhance customer experience, and scale operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams while leveraging data insights to drive impactful business decisions.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Growth
• Own and manage the Intercity business performance in Morocco.
• Monitor and analyze weekly KPIs such as Rides, GMV, and Net Revenue to identify opportunities and performance gaps.
• Develop and implement data-driven growth strategies and run MVP experiments to validate new initiatives.
• Execute both local and macro-regional growth initiatives to scale the business.
Data & Analytics
• Conduct structured data analysis using SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and Tableau.
• Perform market and pricing analysis to understand competitive dynamics and marketplace balance.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Customer & Market Insights
• Conduct field research, market analysis, and interviews with riders and drivers to better understand local market dynamics.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and marketplace efficiency.
• Support localized CRM campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Product, and Country Leadership to align strategies and priorities.
• Coordinate the rollout of product experiments and operational improvements.
• Identify and clearly report product issues or bugs to the product team.
Government Relations & Compliance
• Navigate local regulatory frameworks, including government relations, legal, and tax considerations (e.g., GMV-related tax risks).
• Support compliance and ensure the business operates effectively within local regulations.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• Location: Currently based in Morocco.
• Languages: Fluency in English, French, and Arabic (spoken and written).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience in business development, operations, strategy, or market expansion.
• 1–3 years of experience in tech-driven industries such as ride-hailing, mobility, delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business growth and deliver results.
Technical Skills
• Strong analytical skills with SQL and Excel / Google Sheets.
Methodologies
• Experience with MVP testing, iterative product development, and data-driven experimentation.
• Ability to conduct customer research and market analysis.
