Senior Software Engineer – AI Product Experience

This team is central to how we deliver AI to our customers. From the infrastructure and RAG pipelines that power intelligence behind the scenes to the conversational UI that brings it to life, this team owns the entire experience. As a senior engineer, your impact will be immediate and highly visible you’ll help define how customers interact with Funnel’s AI capabilities and shape the future of AI-driven marketing insights.
About the Engineering Team & Your Role
Our engineering teams have deep ownership of their product areas, making daily decisions in close collaboration across teams and with stakeholders. We work in small, iterative cycles- experimenting, learning, and deploying to production multiple times a day. We work closely with AI agents to accelerate the full engineering lifecycle, from rapid prototyping to production development and continuous learning.
As a senior engineer on this team, you will drive technical direction across the full AI feature stack: infrastructure, RAG pipelines, Amazon Bedrock integrations, and the web UI that delivers the experience. You’ll play a key role in making architectural decisions, improving systems, and ensuring our AI features are robust, scalable, and intuitive.
We primarily use Python and TypeScript, and our entire platform runs in AWS.
At Funnel, engineers own the full lifecycle from architecture and design to implementation, deployment, and monitoring. Senior engineers also mentor others, elevate engineering quality, and help shape product strategy through technical insight.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
• Experience building applications with LLMs, including techniques such as RAG, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering
• Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining cloud-based AI workloads
• Strong backend engineering skills in TypeScript, Python, or similar languages
• AI mindset: leveraging AI agents to to accelerate the full engineering lifecycle, from rapid prototyping to production development and continuous learning
• Experience designing and operating scalable infrastructure, including APIs, data pipelines, and observability
• Comfortable working with web technologies and building user-facing features (e.g., React, Next.js, or similar frameworks)
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative teams, partnering closely with fellow engineers and keeping initiatives moving smoothly
• Experience leading or steering projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Location & Eligibility
At this time, we can only consider applicants who are already based in Stockholm and meet one of the following criteria:
• Hold Swedish citizenship
• Hold EU/EEA citizenship and are currently living in Stockholm
• Have a valid Swedish work permit
Office-first
At Funnel, we have an office-first approach, and we work from the office a minimum of four days a week. We have lots of flexibility for when life happens, during the summer, through the holidays. We just like to avoid having standing remote days.
