Subsets (YC S23) is an early-stage startup building the future of AI-driven subscription growth. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll join the early team to build the scalable infrastructure that powers CRM and lifecycle insights for millions of subscribers.
What you will do
• build product features end-to-end, from backend APIs to frontend interfaces.
• own and develop new features from conception to deployment, ensuring reliability and scalability across our platform.
• keep the codebase maintainable through solid architecture, refactoring, and testing.
• work closely with design and product people to deliver smooth, intuitive user experiences.
• instrument features and gather the right metrics to help the team make informed decisions.
• work in a lean, high-performing team where you will have a significant impact on the product and assume numerous responsibilities.
Tech Stack
• backend: .NET 10, Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, Hangfire, Redis.
• frontend: React.js, Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
• infrastructure & CI/CD: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, GitHub Actions.
You may be a good fit if
• (required) React/Vite experience. Realistically, any modern frontend framework is fine (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
• (required) you have some experience with .NET and Entity Framework Core.
• you have experience with DDD (Domain-Driven Design) and event-driven data architecture.
• you have PostgreSQL (or general SQL) expertise and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
• you have a strong bias toward action and the ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, loosely defined environments.
• you have an "anti-meeting" culture mindset and value focused work time.
• location: This is a Copenhagen-based onsite role — we believe the best ideas happen together, in person.
