At Avery Dennison, we don't just manufacture; we are "Making Possible." We are looking for a Shipping & Logistics Operations Specialist who does more than just move boxes. We need someone who is mechanically curious, takes true ownership of their equipment, and thrives in a performance-driven culture where precision and pace meet.

Located in the Greenfield industrial corridor, our facility offers the perfect professional home for those looking to escape the heavy congestion of Marion County. Whether you are coming from East Indianapolis, Shelbyville, or Anderson, you’ll enjoy a streamlined 20-minute commute to a high-paying role where your impact is visible every day.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

• Logistics Mastery: Arrange freight pick-ups, communicate status to stakeholders, and partner with transportation groups to exceed customer expectations.

• Systems Expertise: Seamlessly ship and receive materials using Oracle and MES, ensuring every receipt and movement is digitally captured.

• Documentation Precision: Generate and manage critical shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and customer sales orders.

• Equipment Operation: Take command of the "yard dog" to move trailers safely and efficiently between dock doors.

• Inventory Integrity: Lead inventory audits, manage the end-to-end returns process, and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) standards are strictly maintained.

• Leadership Ready: Participate in daily improvement (MDI) meetings and step up as a backup Team Leader when the business needs your guidance.

What You Bring to the Table

• A "mechanically curious" mindset—you want to know how the equipment works and how to keep it running at peak performance.

• Comfort navigating computer-based inventory systems (Oracle experience is a plus!).

• The physical agility to load/unload trucks and the technical skill to operate specialized yard equipment.

• A commitment to safety and quality that ensures every incoming raw material is inspected and tagged correctly.
