How Did We Get Here?
A long long time ago but officially 2018
Company founded
Founded in 2018 by Lee Skillen and Alan Carson, two frustrated engineers who wanted to assist with developers issues, they set out to create the solution - a platform that is built by developers for developers.

We had the money and now we needed the people. Up until Series A, Cloudsmith had been sub-20 heads spinning many and all the plates! We needed more hands, expertise, passion, drive = help!!

Bringing in the big guns! We needed commercial focus and global optimism - we found Glenn! He very quickly became one of us and helped to recognise the gaps and needs to drive our rocket ship faster and smoother!

A few times per year we come together to recall, refine, and re-commit to the company's mission. Cloudsmith's big picture is to be the world's software supply chain. This provides customers with control, security, and distribution of binary software artifacts. We do this by building the best enterprise-grade artifact management platform.

The official name for a collective here is, Cloudsmithers!
Our team are distributed across the island of Ireland, Great Britain and United States. We rely heavily on tools that allows us to work asynchronously, and we get together, on location, a number of times throughout the year. We continue to grow the team year on year so bonding, knowledge share and inclusivity is so important for us!
