THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Solutions Engineer to join our Engineering team in New York City. This is a highly cross-functional, client-facing role where you’ll bridge Product, Engineering, and Sales to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This is a full-cycle position, partnering across Sales, Implementations, and Customer Success to support clients from initial conversations through launch and ongoing growth.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will:
• Partner with Product and Engineering to guide new clients through technical implementation, from initial integration to launch
• Support the Sales team by articulating the technical value of Unit’s platform to prospective customers
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients: communicating new features, gathering feedback, and advocating for their needs internally
• Translate client requirements into actionable solutions, including building prototypes, writing documentation, and developing integration guides
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive product adoption
This is a highly entrepreneurial role with immediate impact. You’ll play a key part in shaping how clients experience Unit, with the opportunity to help build an industry-defining company from the ground up.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years in a customer-facing engineering role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Technical Account Manager)
• 2+ years of experience in fintech, financial services, or SaaS (payments or lending experience is a plus)
• Strong technical foundation, including experience working with APIs and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A consultative, customer-first mindset with a track record of understanding and solving client needs
• Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and building the future of financial infrastructure
