Sr. DevOps Engineer

This position is ideal for experienced DevOps and Platform engineers to join our Developer Experience and Cloud Platform organization. You will join a team responsible for the architecture, operation, and strategic enhancement of enterprise CI/CD, developer tools, and cloud infrastructure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will participate in designing and evolving internal developer platforms and cloud services, partnering with software engineers and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, secure systems and an outstanding developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Role Expectations
- Handle incoming support and escalation for developer tooling (GitHub access, repository provisioning, permissions). Act as SME for complex issues and root-cause resolution.

- Operate, and optimize enterprise CI/CD and developer tools (e.g. Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory), including build agent/runners management (capacity, scaling, health). Drive high availability, performance, and scalability.

- Design and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform or CDK (EKS, Lambda, EC2, ALB, VPC, IAM). Automate operations, reduce toil, and improve developer experience through tooling and self-service.

- Lead improvement of build, test, and deploy pipelines (Bamboo, GitHub Actions). Provide incident response, troubleshooting, post-incident reviews, and preventive measures. Maintain runbooks and SOPs.

- Define monitoring and alerting for development tools and infrastructure (e.g. CloudWatch, Splunk). Align with development and leadership on SLAs and strategic improvements.

- Proactively reduce technical debt and toil in existing systems. Identify opportunities for automation, refactoring, reliability, and performance improvements.

- Research and propose new technologies to increase platform quality and developer productivity. Create prototypes and proofs of concept where appropriate.

- Participate in architectural design and project planning, design and sizing, and code/design reviews. Follow security, compliance, and operational best practices.

- Identify and mitigate risks. Participate in production monitoring and support as needed.
