System Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Own and manage Linux-based production systems.

• Build and maintain infrastructure automation (Ansible / Puppet / similar).

• Deploy and operate distributed systems (Ceph or similar storage platforms).

• Write automation and tooling in Bash and Python.

• Debug performance bottlenecks (CPU, memory, I/O, networking).

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Improve reliability, scalability, and system performance.

• Automate everything that repeats more than once

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Linux Fundamentals

• Comfortable with tools like: strace, tcpdump, iostat, vmstat, perf, lsof

Deep understanding of:

• Processes, memory, filesystems

• Networking & TCP/IP

• system & service management

Automation Mindset

• Experience with Ansible / Puppet (or similar).

• Comfortable writing production-grade Bash and Python.

• Believes in Infrastructure-as-Code.

Builder Mentality

• Can set up infrastructure from scratch.

• Doesn’t wait for instructions — takes ownership.

• Enjoys solving ambiguous, real-world system problems.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Distributed storage systems (Ceph, ZFS).

• High-performance or GPU-based environments.

• Startup or early-stage company experience.
