Job Description
Drive sustainable growth in market share by acting as a strategic, knowledge-based resource dedicated to trade lane development.
The Trade Lane Manager serves as the primary authority on assigned trade lanes, providing expert guidance, market insights, and strategic direction across carrier relations, commercial activities, and market dynamics.
This role enables informed decision-making, supports business development efforts, and strengthens the company's competitive positioning through close collaboration with Product, Sales, and Account Management teams.
Trade Lane Strategy & Development:
• Develop and execute trade lane strategies with regional leadership;
• Identify growth opportunities and increase profitability;
• Provide market intelligence and competitive insights.
Business Development & Network Growth:
• Partner with Sales and Account Management teams;
• Support RFQs and tenders with competitive pricing;
• Drive new business and strategic account growth.
Carrier & Supplier Management:
• Negotiate rates and manage contracts;
• Develop and Maintain relationships with key carriers;
• Conduct performance and cost reviews.
Performance Management & Reporting:
• Track volume, revenue, and profitability;
• Maintain CRM accuracy and reporting cadence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years logistics experience, 5+ years leadership
• Strong Ocean Freight knowledge
• Fluent English and Portuguese (Mandarin Desirable)
• To be Brazilian or Have Active Work Permit in Brazil
