About the role
We are looking for a Vice President, Communications to join us in our New York office. As part of our global Marketing team, you will define and lead EquiLend’s communications vision and execution, ensuring our narrative is clear, cohesive, and directly aligned to our business strategy. This is a senior, highly visible role responsible for connecting our story across product, demand generation, marketing operations, and commercial initiatives to ensure we speak to the market with consistency and purpose.

You will work closely with marketing, product, sales, and senior leadership to translate business priorities into a unified communications approach that drives clarity, credibility, and impact. From executive positioning and announcements to media engagement and social channels, you will ensure EquiLend is positioned as a trusted voice across the financial services and fintech landscape.

What you’ll do

• Set and lead EquiLend’s communications strategy, ensuring alignment between business goals, product positioning, commercial priorities, and market messaging

• Develop and maintain a clear narrative framework that connects demand generation, product marketing, and broader sales and marketing initiatives into one cohesive external story

• Oversee and lead alignmenment between social media, email, ads, business developments and sales communications, ensuring channels are strategically aligned, performance-driven, and reflective of our broader communications objectives

• Serve as an advisor to leadership, shaping executive communications, thought leadership, public positioning, and key messaging decisions

• Guide cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, sales, and operations to ensure consistency of voice, positioning, and strategic focus

• Lead external communications efforts and reputation management

• Support internal communications in partnership with leadership to maintain alignment between internal priorities and external positioning

• Monitor market developments, competitive positioning, and industry trends to continuously refine messaging and communications priorities

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of experience leading communications in a B2B commercial environment within financial services, fintech or technology

• Demonstrated experience defining and evolving communications strategy that is clearly linked to business objectives and commercial outcomes

• Proven ability to operate as a senior communications leader, advising executives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders

• Strong understanding of how communications integrates with product marketing, demand generation, and broader marketing strategy

• Track record of leading media relations, messaging, and executive positioning at scale

• Experience overseeing social media as part of a broader communications mandate

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, credible narratives

• Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams toward aligned outcomes

• Familiarity with CMS platforms, analytics tools, and social media management platforms

• Understanding of the securities finance industry is a plus

• The annual base salary range for this role is $125,000- $150,000. This range reflects the base salary the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. In accordance with applicable law, final compensation will be based on relevant experience, job-related qualifications and skills, internal equity, and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
