The VP of Planning and Allocation leads the U.S. team supporting Nanjing USA’s Walmart private label business. This role oversees demand planning, replenishment, order management, production execution, and item creation across all programs.

Responsible for on-time, in-full delivery, system accuracy (NetSuite/Walmart), and daily operational decisions that drive both replenishment and seasonal programs. Leads a team across Planning, Replenishment, and Production/Item functions. Acts as senior contact for Finance, Warehouse, Sales and partners.

Core Responsibilities

Planning

• Manage ladder, reforecasting, and weeks-of-supply

• Approve production adjustments based on performance

• Oversee non-standard program planning

• Align production timing with sales trends

• Coordinate delivery schedules with Asia team

Replenishment

• Oversee NOVA PO review and NetSuite SO reconciliation

• Manage warehouse pull lists and resolve discrepancies

• Lead weekly Walmart in-stock reporting

• Ensure GTIN alignment and order accuracy

• Escalate and resolve erroneous Walmart POs

• Own in-stock reporting and performance metrics (OTIF, inventory, POS)

Production Orders & Item Creation

• Create/transmit Walmart POs from AEX files

• Manage PO inputs, vendor variances, and discrepancies

• Oversee item setup, pricing, and data accuracy

• Support audits and cross-training

• Resolve duplicate POs, voids, and pricing issues

Item & Data Management

• Oversee item setup across NetSuite and Walmart systems

• Ensure accuracy of specs, GTIN/UPC, and pricing

• Maintain data integrity and reduce audit risk

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Primary contact for Walmart replenishment, merchants, and DC teams

• Partner with Finance (costing, audits), Warehouse (inventory), and Sales (program execution)

Qualifications

Required

• 10+ years in retail planning, allocation, or inventory management

• 5+ years in senior leadership

• Experience in apparel or consumer products supply chain

• Strong knowledge of Walmart systems (Retail Link, NOVA, AEX, OTIF)

• ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience managing both planning and order management functions

• Experience working with overseas production teams

Preferred

• Apparel/soft-lines experience (especially Walmart Ladies’)

• Audit/compliance exposure (SOX, Protiviti)

• Familiarity with EDI platforms (e.g., Orderful
