Mid-Level MS Business Central Developer (Finance & Accounting Focus)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mid-Level MS Business Central

Developer with 3–5 years of experience to specialize in our Finance & Accounting

modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in customizing,

developing, and supporting the financial functionalities within Dynamics 365

Business Central (D365BC) and its predecessor, Dynamics NAV. You will leverage

your expertise in AL Language and Visual Studio to deliver robust, scalable, and

compliant financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

 Module Specialization: Design, develop, customize, and maintain

functionalities within the core Finance & Accounting modules of MS Business

Central (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed

Assets, Cost Accounting).

 Development & Integration: Utilize AL Language within Visual Studio Code to

create extensions, modify existing processes, develop reports, and integrate

D365BC with third-party financial systems.

 Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues, debug code, and provide

timely solutions to ensure smooth business operations for finance teams.

 Collaboration: Work closely with Finance Department stakeholders, Business

Analysts, and Project Managers to gather requirements and translate

business needs into technical specifications.

 Testing & Deployment: Participate in unit testing, UAT support,

documentation, and deployment of solutions across development, testing,

and production environments.

 Technical Compliance: Ensure all financial customizations adhere to best

practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g.,

SOX controls, audit trails).

Required Skills and Qualifications

 Experience: 3–4 years of demonstrated experience in MS Dynamics Business

Central or Dynamics NAV development and implementation.

 Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AL Language and C/AL (legacy

experience is a plus).

 Tools: Hands-on experience using Visual Studio Code for development and

source control tools (Git).

 Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of core accounting principles,

financial workflows, and business processes within the Finance/ERP context.

 Data/Reporting: Experience with RDLC/SSRS reporting, financial reporting

tools, and data migration/integration techniques.

 Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the

ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and finance professionals.

 Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to

identifying and resolving complex technical and functional issues.

Preferred Qualifications

 Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer certification.

 Experience with Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Power BI) for

extending BC functionalities.

 Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
