Position Summary
The eCommerce Product Content Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing online product detail pages (PDPs) to enhance the customer experience, increase conversion rates, and support revenue growth. This role works closely with Buying, Merchandising, and vendor partners to gather and validate product information, digital assets, and enhanced content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. They possess strong written communication skills, experience working with product data, and a passion for delivering compelling online shopping experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Product Content Management
Create, update, and maintain product detail pages (PDPs) across eCommerce platforms.
Develop and optimize product titles, descriptions, enhanced copy, and product attributes to improve customer engagement and conversion.
Manage multiple content projects and product launches simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
Product Data & Asset Coordination
Collect, organize, and publish product information, specifications, images, videos, and enhanced content from internal teams and vendor partners.
Ensure all product content is accurate, complete, compliant, and aligned with brand standards and content guidelines.
Validate product information and assets prior to publication.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Buying, Category Merchandising, and vendor partners to obtain accurate product data and support assortment priorities.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely content delivery for new product launches and promotional initiatives.
Performance Optimization & Analytics
Utilize analytics tools and customer feedback to identify opportunities for content improvements.
Monitor content performance and recommend enhancements that improve customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall site experience.
Support initiatives aimed at reducing returns through improved product information and content accuracy.
Quality Assurance
Conduct quality reviews to ensure product content is complete, accurate, and displayed correctly on the website.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve content-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Process Improvement
Contribute to the development of content standards, workflows, and best practices.
Support automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
Assist with the adoption and utilization of tools and technologies that enhance content management processes.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, eCommerce, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in eCommerce content management, digital merchandising, content operations, product information management, or a related field.
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, content management systems, and digital asset management tools preferred.
Experience with web analytics and customer behavior tools preferred.
Strong written communication and copywriting skills preferred.
