This role is responsible for shaping and optimizing the product portfolio to drive sustainable business growth and improve overall portfolio efficiency.
The position plays a critical role in evaluating product performance, making strategic decisions on where to invest, optimize, or exit, and leading cross-functional initiatives to streamline the portfolio while unlocking new growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Portfolio Strategy & Optimization
- Conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews to assess product performance, relevance, and strategic fit
- Define portfolio strategy, including prioritization, optimization, repositioning, and retirement of non-core products
- Partner with Product teams to enhance portfolio structure and improve overall business performance
• Strategic Lifecycle Management
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle initiatives, including optimization and rationalization efforts
- Ensure alignment between portfolio strategy and overall Product & Marketing direction
• Cross-functional Execution & Governance
- Manage internal governance and approval processes to support portfolio changes
- Develop structured execution plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
• Growth Opportunity Identification
- Identify opportunities to reallocate resources from legacy products to high-growth areas
- Contribute to business growth strategy through portfolio insights and recommendations
• Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
- Build data-driven analysis and business cases to support portfolio decisions
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of portfolio optimization initiatives
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in product management, strategy, consulting, or business analysis
• Strong experience in product lifecycle management or portfolio strategy
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to balance business growth, risk, and operational considerations
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries is highly preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
